The Chute Adapter Kit attaches to the existing Lower Discharge Chute of your grass catcher assembly.
It is used when your hood is too large for the Leaf Bag to fit properly, as found on some commerrcial mowers, or
to eliminate blowby that occurs with some grass catchers because of the hood bracket location.
Our 2006 product survey indicated that some customers experienced
leaves coming out of the leaf bag when it was attached around their grass catcher hood. This "blowby" problem
occurs with some grass catchers because of the design of the mounting bracket and the inability to tightly secure our bag
around the hood. The Chute Adapter Kit solves this problem by mounting the bag directly to the Lower Discharge Chute of your grass catcher and provides a better connection point for our bag.
Your grass catcher hood, collection bins, and upper tube are removed from your lawn tractor and our bag is attached
with the flexible tube provided. Installation requires few tools and can be easily completed in a about 20
minutes and can be removed after you are done using your leaf bag.
The Kit includes:
Adapter Tube- an 8" diameter wire reinforced
tube to channel the debris from the mower deck.
Rope Ratchet- quick connector
used to hold the Tube in position with your lower chute assembly and tractor.
Bag
Clip- attaches to the leaf bag to connect tow cord.
2-6' sections of Rope-
1/8" polyester rope used with Ratchet Assemblies and Bag Clip.
2- S hooks
The following photos show the Kit in use and being attached. You can click on any picture to enlarge
it. The hardware in your kit may vary.
This is an example of the lower chute attached to the mower deck. It may be only a few inches long
or 20" long like this one.
The parts in the kit are the tube, rope ratchet, bag clip, 2 S hooks, and 2 six foot pieces of rope.
Slide the tube over the lower chute and direct it to the rear of the tractor. The rope ratchet holds
the upper end of the tube against the tractor body.
The bag clip attaches about half way up along the seem on the side of the bag.
Attach the bag to the end of the tube. Hook the tow rope from the bag clip to the tractor. The
rope should be short enough to take up the weight of the bag.
When the Leaf Bag is inflated the cord carries the weight of the contents, and the bag is up against the
back of the tractor.
